About Abra Lynne Gilman

Abra Lynne Gilman lives in Bend, Oregon.  She has a daughter, Brooklynne Rose Gilman and an incredible husband, Mike Gilman.  She lost a son, Gregory Dakota Conklin, at age 8 1/2 years old, after fighting cancer and the side effects from the treatments for over 6 years.  You can read about Gregory and the ‘adventures’ the family went on at www.gregoryconklin.org.

Abra works at Collins Computing, Inc. as the “CSM” Customer Sales Manager and Senior Consultant.  Collins specializes in implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics software and the modules that integrate with it.  Abra writes their customer newsletters, ERP Blogs, and works with existing customers in whatever capacity they need.  These services may range from discussing Annual Renewals for all software products; to investigating new modules; to project management and product questions; to handling some 2nd level support escallation issues.  Abra has worked with Collins and has implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP software since 1994 (that is over 16 years!).

Abra also teaches Zumba fitness classes at Juniper Swim and Fitness Center, the Athletic Club of Bend, the Senior Center and various other gyms around Bend, Oregon.  This unique group fitness class mixes dance styles from Mambo to Cha Cha, Salsa, Merengue, Samba, and Flamenco all the way to Cumbia, Bellydancing, Bollywood and always includes some Reggaeton, Hip Hop, and Top 40 music/dances.  This was at first just a way to exercise but has quickly become a passion of Abra’s.

Abra recently became a Pampered Chef Consultant, delivering Cooking Shows featuring Kitchen Tools to make cooking fun and easy (something that has eluded Abra in the past).  Check out her website at www.pamperedchef.biz/abra .

In her ‘spare time’ Abra volunteers at New Hope Church as ‘Commander’ for the kids Bible Study “Awana” program with over 200 kids in attendance on Monday nights.  She also loves helping out in her daughter’s school classes once a week! 

Living in Oregon has opened Abra’s eyes to the “Green” way of life and she now does composting, shops at the Farmer’s Market, and cheers on the University of Oregon “Ducks” at their football games!
